The 50.8 mm (2 inch) pitch is designed for hygienic and heavy duty transport in the food industry, mainly in the meat industry. The strength lies in the reinforced underside, the sprocket design and the ?8 mm (0.31 inch) pins locked with uni Y-locks. The hinge and sprocket designs enable fast and effective cleaning and prevent particles from clustering between belt and sprockets. All planes are angled for water and dirt to run off easily. The smooth surface prevents the growth of bacteria.
